Bush Announces Faster Payment Schedule for Stimulus Payments

President Bush announced that stimulus payments will be issued faster than previously announced. Tax filers who chose direct deposit can start receiving their payments as soon as April 28th.
I've updated the payment table from my original article on the stimulus payments below. You'll notice that the last payment coincides with the Independence Day holiday, a coincidence I'm sure.

… Package was passed by Congress in early 2008. Among other things, it mandates direct cash payments to US citizens who've met a certain level of income and have paid taxes for the 2007 tax year.
In May of 2008 the IRS begin depositing these payments into the banks accounts of eligible tax payers via direct deposit. Some people will get there payment via check. You can estimate when you will receive your payment using the official IRS payment schedule.

Are you one of the people who've tried to use the " Where's My Stimulus Payment " tool on the IRS website? Did it not work for you? I've had many people report that it didn't work for them, so I decided to try it myself.
Remember that unless you payment is scheduled to be mailed (or deposited) it won't show up on the "where's my stimulus" site.
