Are you one of the people who've tried to use the "Where's My Stimulus Payment" tool on the IRS website? Did it not work for you? I've had many people report that it didn't work for them, so I decided to try it myself.
Remember that unless you payment is scheduled to be mailed (or deposited) it won't show up on the "where's my stimulus" site.
You should check the Payment Schedule prior to using this application since your payment information will not be available on this tool until the time that your payment is scheduled.
My stimulus payment is scheduled for the week of June 6th. Since that's next week, I decided to try out the "where's my stimulus" site.
I entered in my info and this time it worked. It showed exactly how much I would receive, the reason why I would receive that amount, when my check would be mailed and the date I should contact the IRS if I don't receive my payment.
Check out the screen print below. It shows all of the information you should need.
So the tool seems to work fairly well. I say that now before I've received the stimulus payment. We'll see if it actually shows up on time.
