If you watched the Super Bowl, no doubt you saw the godaddy.com commercials.  While the commercials are interesting, I'm more interested in how Bob Parsons made his fortune.  His some interesting background on the "Go Daddy dude."

He built financial software (in 1984) and worked on it for years.  He eventually sold it to Intuit.  Then he played golf in Arizona for a year b/c his contract with Intuit said he couldn't work for profit for one year (he had $64 million at that point).

He then started what was to become godaddy.com, losing most of that $64 million in the stock market (tech bubble) and the rest he burned through trying to get godaddy off the ground.

Success key: Never give up (but be very quick to change).  Turning $15,000 into $64 million. Kissing $64 million goodbye.

The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed. Parking cars for a living.
