Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that things are not going so great for Tiger Woods right now. According Nielsen, the last time a commercial featuring Tiger Woods appeared on TV was Nov. 29. That was a 30-second Gillette ad that aired during NBC's "Football Night in America,". It aired a few more times but since then it's been dry.
Sponsors have decided to continue their business relationships with Tiger but are holding back their commercials for several weeks. No doubt hoping that this scandal dies down quickly.
Tiger's sponsors, Gillette, Nike, Gatorade and Electronic Arts, have pledged their support of Woods and opted to retain the golfer as their spokesman. At least for the moment. Other sponsors like AT&T, Tag Heuer and Accenture, have not commented about their sponsorship of Tiger.
Just goes to show you, no matter how high you excel, your reputation can be tarnished in an instant.
