A week  into the Swine flu "epidemic", it seems clear that this is the usual over-reacting that our government is famous for post 911. It's bad for you that they over-react, but good for those doing the over-reacting.

Let's take a look at those who are benefiting from this scare.

Surgical mask companies. Wouldn't you love to be a surgical mask maker right now? They are really raking in the dough.

The media. It goes without saying that they have a vested interest and benefit greatly from over-reaction. Just like their advertisers.

The makers of vaccines and drugs. Tamiflu comes to mind. None of them seem to work, but they sure are benefiting big time.

The point is that YOU are not benefitting from this situation. There's a big lesson to be learned here. What is that? First, don't be one of the sheep and get caught up in fear. That will cost you financially, whether in hospital visits or drugs. Second, be one of those who are profitting from the situation.

Always use this principal in money matters. No fear. You be the top dog. Find a demand and fill it.

I imagine the mask makers are indeed raking in the dough right now, even though, according to my state health dept., the masks only help someone who already *has* the disease from transferring it to someone else. In other words, they won't protect you from getting the disease. Why? Because of their porousness, if that's a word. :)
