South Carolina governor Mark Sanford has been in the news, just in case you've been living under a rock. He disappeared and then admitted that he was having an affair with some Argentinian gal. Immoral behavior from a overly-religious man in a position of power? Color me shocked. But I don't give a damn about him, his wife or his Argentinian part-time squeeze.
He used taxpayer money for the trip. Sure, he says that he went there on government business and just dipped into the Argentinian gene pool on the side. I don't care. The fact is, your money and my money was used in connection with this.
And this is the hidden cost of government that we do not see and yet is a HUGE waste of OUR money. Would you let your employee take your gold card and go to Argentina to get laid? No. So why do you let your politicians do this?
Every governor, senator,mayor etc and all of their shifty beady eyed lackeys should all be forced to keep detailed books of their travels and the cost. Hell, why not have a finance committee that keeps them in check.
I don't know about you. but I'm sick of these fat ticks sucking my financial blood. A lit match needs to be taken to their bloated asses, so we can get them off of us and check for lime disease.
