Let's face it, most people don't make it in stocks. If I remember correctly, the market today is roughly where it was way back in 2000, though I may be wrong. Unless you are one of the elite, pulling scams left and right, you are just feeding the elite. Movies are a much better investment.
Big box-office hits such as Avatar, coupled with the introduction of new ways to bet on or invest in movies, is making the idea of financing the big screen more appealing to investors. And there aren't as many criminals running the show.
