There is no second stimulus payment as of right now.  There have been rumors and several law makers like Chucky "Cheese" Schumer have been lobbying for another payment.

However, both presidential candidates have come out against another stimulus payment.  Obama wants a different program instead of sending money directly to people who could use it, he wants the money to go to the state and federal bureaucracies.

Despite the rumors you may hear on TV, another stimulus package is a long shot.  Congress would have to pass another bill to authorize stimulus payments.  That means they would have to come up with the funding.

However, right now the federal government is busy bailing out the banks on Wall Street.  The little guy doesn't get anymore because the CEO's who run their companies into the ground get 9 to 14 million dollars.

In the end, I would rather the money go to families than to banks.  The banks got themselves into this mess.  They should be allowed to fail and their investors should feel the pain of their stupidity.  The CEO's should not receive a golden parachute especially if the US taxpayer is paying for it.

In the end the little guy will get screwed.  Small investors and taxpayers will foot the bill while the smartest guys in the room get bailed out (again).

Yes the rich get richer and the poor et poorer. We get done dirty and they don't what are the difference in this world with us being like the rich we put our pants on the same way they do and it's not fair to us either. The banks put them self where they are today not us so why should we pay for there mistakes not us. To the gas prices are the same as the banks they should be lowered and stay that way. It is hard enough on us as it is. That is all that,I have to say….

Yes rich get richer and poor get poorer.
It is hard to keep up with things lately. Paying a first and second mortgage and regular house hold bills such as Electric, gas, Telephone, Insurance for car. Making sure Have gas money so Husband can get back and forth to work. I walk. Food and then hardly anything left to last to next pay day for us.
Parties should be reversed Let the rich lower their income and live like us to see how they like it. See if they survive with out all extras they have now. TO be left with maybe only $40.00 to last for two weeks. and still need to buy food cause it is running out .

I am having a problem with this picture. I am poor and if you have an oppinion you should speak your mind, I firmly believe in that. But if you are going to speak your opinion please use the spell checker and make complete sentences. you wonder why the rich people trash us. well the last few blogs just described it. you people need to go back to school or don't blog it is imbarrassing.

Ah, yes Susan….thank you, if anyone is going to thrash & trash anything at least be able to spell correctly or don't criticize those who don't. As far as a stimulus package I believe that we have gotten two over the past several years and they did not seem to help us consumers at all…the more we get the more we seem to spend and end up in the same predicament as before only a little deeper, so it is defeating the purpose anyway, but you know what they say about opinions.
