Ronald McDonald. He is associated with Fast food, fun and fat. Maybe it's time for him to retire. McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner says no way. Many say the character promotes unhealthy eating to kids and should go away
"The answer is no," Skinner told a room full of shareholders. Shareholders applauded Skinner and they unleashed a chorus of boos when representatives of the advocacy group Corporate Accountability International requested that Ronald be put out to pasture.
I understand where both sides are coming from. But the food at McDonalds is still going to cause all kinds of disease and fat humans whether Ronald is there or not. Try to think of him as a Jovial Grim Reaper. Hell, he probably slaughters all of the beef himself.
