Are Americans mad about political shenanigans on Capitol Hill? Are they upset about dirty deals on Wall Street? No, Americans are fired up about the possible hostile takeover of Anheuser-Busch (maker of Budweiser) by the Belgian company InBev. Americans love their beer.

Usually when a company is sold to foreign owners, the reaction is mild. When the Germans bought Chrysler, there was some discontent but most realized if someone didn't buy Chrysler, it was going out of business. Not so with Anheuser-Busch (Stock: BUD NYSE).

If you need evidence of the public's anger see the comments on this article about Warren Buffet supporting the $47.5 billion takeover bid. People are mad at Bush, Buffet and anyone else they can think to blame. I think they have a valid point.

The powers that be (President Bush, Congress and the Federal Reserve) all share a large amount of blame for policies that have weakened the dollar. The weak dollar is the number one reason why American companies are so appealing to foreign buyers. American companies are cheap right now due to our government's horrible fiscal management.

Keep in mind Anheuser-Busch CEO August Anheuser Busch IV doesn't want to sell. InBev wants grab Budweiser with a hostile takeover. Of course August Busch IV is a lot like another high ranking figure who shares the same sounding name (Hint: President George W. Bush). August Anheuser Busch IV has a checkered past so it's not clear if his inability to manage the company is a problem or not.

Place the Blame Where it Belongs

As stated above, American's poor money management got us in this situation.  We can't continue to spend money we don't have.  We need to let the politicians in Washington know that we don't want to mortgage our country to pay for their pork barrel ear mark spending packages.

What do you think?  Who gets the blame? Are you mad at President Bush, Congress, Warren Buffet or August Anheuser Busch IV?  Leave a comment below and let the world know how you feel.

I'm not going to drink budweiser anymore. If they want to leave this country then they won't get my money.

I imagine if you drink budweiser you shop at wal-mart and there hardly isn't a thing in wal-mart that is mad in america. Support your local breweries and forget about big corporations all together.

It's not like they want to leave! I really don't think A-B has any say whether they sale or not! To be honest, it has to do with our juvenile government management! I tell you November can't come fast enough! LET THE POPULAR VOTE ELECT A PRESIDENT!!!

This really upsets me dearly. Why is American companies letting theirself be bought by other gay ass counties. It is not President Bush fault. It is the companies CEO and others. The president cant tell people who to sale to or not, but i think they should try to appeal to the U.S. companies in the U.S. with tax breaks. We need more slef-reliance in America. I am a more conservative person but my support goes to Bob Barr who is running in the libertian party. I do not want to see Obama in office. He will ruin America.

    God Bless America.

I THINK IT'S SHAMEFUL THAT THE INCREASING GREED OF AMERICAN OWNED COMPANIES ARE ALLOWING FOREIGNERS TO TAKE CONTROL OF OUR PRODUCTS AND LAND. IT'S NOT LIKE ANHEUSER-BUSCH WAS STRUGGLING… PEOPLE WANT TO BLAME GOV'T, BUT IT'S THE GREEDY STOCKHOLDERS AND OWNERS WHO ARE GIVING OUR HERITAGE/FUTURE AWAY. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE TAKEN BY TERRORISM, WE'RE JUST HANDING THINGS OVER…
